When I first talked to Kevin and Ben, the told me they wanted a Baltimore themed wedding. And they had some Divine inspiration in Female Trouble and Pink Flamingo. They also had an even more personal connection as a scene from one of his movies filmed behind their house! Their comment was take a "John Waters feel and class it down a level or two"!

What they ended up with was delightfully "classy trashy" feel. They had the ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Belvedere in the heart of Baltimore. And from the Astro turf aisle lined with pink flamingos, to bedazzled crab, rat and flamingo centerpieces, to gold sequined covered head table and even cheetah print silk flowers mixed in the flower girls basket, they made it their own! It was a love letter to John Waters & Balmer!

Oh, and the Balmer City rat grooms cake topper from Cakes by Jason was the pièce de résistance! Because who doesn't love Baltimore City rats!
